Caprock Rentals delivered a tailored surveillance solution utilizing Starlink technology to provide uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity for a customer located in a remote area. The project required six solar-powered surveillance systems, each capable of operating independently while maintaining a seamless connection via Starlink’s unlimited data service. This allowed the customer to access full-frame-rate video streams and unlimited viewing without any lag or interruptions, a critical feature for both real-time monitoring and reviewing footage.
To further enhance the system’s capabilities, we integrated a robust local storage solution, offering 30 days of on-site video retention. In addition, a backup hard drive was installed to provide extra security in case of storage failure. This ensured that all footage was reliably archived and readily available when needed. For connectivity across the expansive site, we ran over 1,000 feet of CAT cable, linking all the systems to ensure maximum performance and minimal downtime.
Recognizing the customer’s need for easy access and control, we developed a custom website, allowing them to view live footage, manage storage, and adjust system settings from anywhere. This user-friendly interface made it simple for the customer to maintain complete oversight of the site without the need for technical expertise.
By leveraging Starlink, Caprock Rentals provided an innovative solution that combined cutting-edge satellite internet with advanced solar-powered surveillance, ensuring high performance even in remote locations. This project highlights our ability to customize surveillance setups to meet the unique needs of each client, regardless of location or infrastructure challenges.
